Even with multiple construction projects underway in the Canalside and Cobblestone District, organizers of the 2013 Buffalo BrewFest announced the event will again be held at the First Niagara Center. The annual event, now in its 12th year, is scheduled for Friday, August 9th from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. All proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center.
“There is a great deal of activity over by the First Niagara Center, and you can add the 2013 Buffalo BrewFest to the list,” said Joseph Cozzo, president and CEO for Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. “In 2012, we saw the greatest number of craft beers and brewers and the largest crowd for The Buffalo BrewFest. This year, we are adding to the number of brewers and craft beers on tap, giving attendees a greater selection to sample.
“With the help of the Buffalo Sabres, we have created event plans to ensure the attendees have a great experience. This includes everything from faster entry, better layout and free parking. We expect the 2013 Buffalo BrewFest to sell-out,” added Cozzo.
This year’s Buffalo BrewFest will feature craft brews from local brewers as well as the region and from around the world. Brewers will be set up across the two floors of the First Niagara Center and outside in the Plaza area. Food will be available from a menu specially prepared by Delaware North’s Sports Service for the event featuring beer-inspired items.
A maximum of 3500 tickets can be sold for the event. Tickets to the event are $30 in advance and $38 day of the event. Admission price includes a souvenir sampling glass and 20 tickets to taste and enjoy craft brews from more than 150 brewers.
Online ticket sales for 2013 Buffalo BrewFest begins today, Thursday, June 27th at noon by going to www.buffalobrewfest.com and www.tickets.com. Retail ticket sales begin on Monday, July 1 at all Western New York locations of Craft Beer Exchange, exclusively at APlus stores.
Parking at the event is free and attendees must be 21 or older – proper ID is required with ticket for admission.
